Our KBR team is actively hiring a Junior Salesforce Developer to support the implementation, administration, development, and continuous improvement of a new Salesforce environment. This role will support KBR’s internal Growth Operations Excellence organization and will help build scalable Salesforce capabilities that improve customer relationship management, opportunity management, pipeline visibility, business reporting, user adoption, and enterprise growth execution.
The Junior Salesforce Developer will work closely with Growth Operations Excellence, business stakeholders, Salesforce users, IT partners, and technical leads to translate business requirements into practical Salesforce solutions. This position is ideal for a hands-on Salesforce professional who is comfortable supporting both declarative configuration and entry-level development activities in a fast-paced business environment.
No travel is anticipated for this role, though virtual meetings, training sessions, release support, and user adoption activities may be required across U.S. time zones.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation, configuration, testing, deployment, administration, and continuous improvement of a new Salesforce environment.
Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, Lightning pages, validation rules, flows, reports, dashboards, permission sets, and user access controls.
Build and maintain Salesforce automation using declarative tools such as Flow, with support for Apex, Lightning Web Components, and other programmatic solutions when needed.
Assist with Salesforce data migration, data cleanup, deduplication, validation, and ongoing data quality efforts.
Support Salesforce reporting and dashboard development to improve visibility into customer, lead, opportunity, pipeline, forecasting, resource planning, and growth execution data.
Troubleshoot Salesforce user issues, investigate system defects, document root causes, and coordinate resolution with business or technical stakeholders.
Support integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems, including API-based integrations, middleware, reporting tools, and data platforms.
Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration notes, user guidance, test scripts, deployment notes, and standard operating procedures.
Assist with sandbox management, change tracking, deployment preparation, release validation, and production support activities.
Follow Salesforce development, security, testing, data governance, and release management best practices.
Help ensure Salesforce remains scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with evolving business needs.
Contribute to continuous improvement of Salesforce workflows, governance standards, data standards, and user experience.
Work independently on assigned tasks while seeking guidance from senior team members when appropriate.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant technical experience.
2+ years of experience supporting Salesforce administration, Salesforce development, business applications, CRM systems, or enterprise workflow automation.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration, including standard and custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, flows, reports, dashboards, profiles, permission sets, and user administration.
Experience building or supporting Salesforce automation using Flow, approval processes, or comparable workflow tools.
Foundational experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SOQL, or related Salesforce development technologies.
Basic understanding of Salesforce data model concepts, security model concepts, role hierarchy, sharing settings, permissions, and data quality practices.
Experience gathering requirements from business stakeholders and translating requirements into configuration, automation, documentation, or technical tasks.
Experience troubleshooting application issues, validating defects, testing fixes, and supporting end users.
Ability to create clear documentation, including technical notes, user guidance, test cases, and process instructions.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Salesforce Administrator certification.
Salesforce Platform App Builder certification.
Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
Experience implementing or administering Salesforce Sales Cloud.
Experience supporting a new Salesforce org implementation, migration, or major CRM transformation.
Experience with Salesforce DevOps, source control, change sets, Salesforce DX, Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Gearset, Copado, or similar deployment tools.
Experience building Lightning Web Components.
Experience developing Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, scheduled jobs, or test classes.
Experience with REST or SOAP API integrations.
Experience with Informatica, Appian, integration middleware, enterprise data platforms, or integration patterns.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, CRM Analytics, or other reporting and dashboarding tools.
Experience with data migration tools such as Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, Workbench, or comparable ETL tools.
Experience supporting Salesforce dashboards, pipeline reporting, forecasting processes, or business development workflows.
Experience working in a government contracting, aerospace, defense, professional services, or highly regulated business environment.
Experience with Agile delivery practices, user stories, sprint planning, backlog management, and release coordination.
Experience documenting business processes, technical designs, data dictionaries, or system administration procedures.
Familiarity with Salesforce security, data governance, access management, and least-privilege access principles.
Strong curiosity, willingness to learn, and ability to grow into broader Salesforce development and administration responsibilities.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
