What Drives Success
Under direct supervision, performs routine procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Assists in conducting regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and information systems security policies and procedures are being implemented as defined in security plans. Assists in developing, testing, and operating routine firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus systems, software deployment tools, or ERP application security following routine instructions. Interfaces with user community to understand their security needs and implements procedures to accommodate them. Ensures that user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security. Conducts accurate evaluation of the level of security required. Provides management with status reports. Researches, evaluates, tests, and implements new security software or devices. Assists in implementing, enforcing, communicating and developing security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, telecommunications and information systems security education/awareness programs. Assists in conducting investigations of information systems security violations and incidents, reporting as necessary to management.
What We Are Looking For
Requires a two year degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Learns and follows routines precisely. Understands and clearly communicates basic IT security principles.
