Legal Counsel, Litigation & Regulatory (Health-Tech)
<p>Voy is looking for an exceptional Legal Counsel to own litigation, regulatory, and employment matters across a rapidly scaling health-tech business. You'll join a lean, high-autonomy legal function embedded in a company genuinely changing healthcare outcomes, operating across weight management, hormonal health, and hair loss at scale in the UK, Brazil, and Germany.</p><p>This role sits at the intersection of law and operational complexity: you'll partner with Leadership, Clinical, Pharmacy, Product, and People teams to manage disputes, navigate pharmaceutical and medical device regulation, and provide practical employment law support — all in an environment that actively encourages using technology and AI to deliver legal solutions at scale.</p><p><strong>What you'll do</strong></p><ul><li><p>Own the company's disputes strategy end-to-end, managing pre-action correspondence, litigation, negotiation, and settlement, while controlling external counsel costs and ensuring proportionate handling.</p></li><li><p>Lead responses to regulatory investigations, enforcement activity, and information requests, coordinating internal stakeholders and evidence preservation.</p></li><li><p>Advise on the regulatory landscape for medicinal products and medical devices, including import requests, MA licensing, pharmacovigilance, and promotional/advertising review.</p></li><li><p>Support regulatory risk assessment for new products, services, and markets, working closely with Quality, Clinical, and Ops on safety reporting, complaints handling, and recalls.</p></li><li><p>Provide practical employment law advice across the full employee lifecycle, from contracts and policies through to disciplinary, grievance, exits, and restructures.</p></li><li><p>Manage employment disputes including ACAS early conciliation and Employment Tribunal matters, coordinating external employment counsel where needed.</p></li><li><p>Develop dispute playbooks, escalation pathways, and document retention/e-discovery readiness to build institutional resilience.</p></li><li><p>Deliver in-house legal training and build self-serve guidance that enables the business to move quickly without unnecessary legal bottlenecks.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Who you are</strong></p><ul><li><p>Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction), with 2+ years of relevant contentious and/or regulatory experience.</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience advising on life sciences regulation, pharmaceuticals and/or medical devices, ideally from a leading firm or in-house in a regulated sector.</p></li><li><p>Strong employment law capability, whether as a core pillar of your practice or through significant in-house exposure.</p></li><li><p>An excellent drafter, confident producing high-stakes correspondence, pleadings, instructions, and regulator-facing submissions.</p></li><li><p>Pragmatic and commercially minded: you find the right answer for the business, not just the legally safe one, and you stay calm when things escalate.</p></li><li><p>A natural stakeholder manager, able to build trust quickly across clinical, operational, and commercial teams, and influence without authority.</p></li><li><p>Genuinely interested in using technology and AI to make legal functions operate at scale, this isn't a nice-to-have, it's part of how we work.</p></li><li><p>Comfortable with ambiguity and pace; you take ownership, set your own direction, and don't need a lot of hand-holding to deliver.</p></li></ul>
