Role Summary

The Live and Emerging Strategic Execution Manager is responsible for setting strategy and driving execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives that enable Live commerce and subsidiary platforms to operate and scale with trust. This role sits within Live & Emerging Verticals Platform Governance and is passionate about applying PRPS and intellectual property standards appropriately. It translates these into suitable controls, workflows, and operational requirements for new surfaces such as Live and subsidiaries.

This is a Live-first role with a center of gravity in PRPS/IP operationalization for Live. Over time, the role is encouraged to help build more scalable compliance capabilities alongside functional systems for emerging products and platforms.

What This Role Owns

  • Lead complex, cross-functional workstreams that bring PRPS and IP policy into operational reality for Live commerce.

  • Define Live-specific requirements and operating mechanisms needed to support item detection and enforcement.

  • Surface and frame emerging-surface risks, identify where established standards require fit-for-context treatment, and translate policy into workable requirements for Product, Engineering, Operations, GCX, and other partner teams.

  • Partner across Product, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Risk, and Policy Operations to drive alignment, manage dependencies, resolve execution risks, and move strategic priorities forward.

  • Translate takeaways from launches, incidents, QA findings, and operational feedback into clearer requirements, improved controls, and stronger operating mechanisms over time.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic execution and operating model design

  • Set strategy and drive execution for complex Live compliance initiatives with multiple dependencies, collaborators, and delivery teams.

  • Establish working models, decision frameworks, and operating rhythms that enable efficient, risk-aligned execution across partner teams.

  • Build from current-state point solutions toward more scalable, durable compliance capabilities for Live and other emerging surfaces over time.

Live policy operationalization

  • Lead the operationalization of PRPS and intellectual property policies for Live, including detection requirements, gating logic, moderation build, and enforcement pathways.

  • Determine what fit-for-context treatment is needed for Live where established marketplace approaches do not port directly.

  • Collaborate with Policy Operations to maintain requirements aligned with policy intent while ensuring they are manageable in a Live environment.

Cross-functional leadership

  • Act as the connective tissue across Live, Policy Operations, Transformation & Governance, Product, Engineering, Operations, GCX, Legal, and Risk teams.

  • Coordinate complex workstreams end to end, including readiness reviews, dependency management, addressing customer concerns, and executive communication.

  • Help teams make progress through ambiguity by structuring decisions, clarifying tradeoffs, and maintaining forward momentum against business priorities.

Risk management and capability maturation

  • Support risk framing for Live-specific launches and changes, including phased rollout strategies, interim controls, and mitigation planning while automated capabilities mature.

  • Use operational signals, QA feedback, and launch findings to improve controls, close gaps, and inform future roadmap priorities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong strategic execution leader with experience driving complex cross-functional initiatives from problem framing through launch and iteration.

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, especially where business, compliance, operational, and technical considerations intersect.

  • Able to translate policy or risk intent into execution-ready requirements and partner effectively with technical and operational teams.

  • Excellent judgment on when to lead, when to influence, and when to hand off to Policy Operations, Product, Engineering, or other collaborating groups.

  • Effective communicator who can drive alignment across senior collaborators and working teams while keeping the work grounded in practical business outcomes.

Preferred Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in trust, safety, compliance, risk, governance, marketplace policy, or related domains.

  • Experience working on live commerce, creator platforms, marketplaces, or other fast-moving product environments.

  • Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and policy/domain teams to stand up new controls or operating models.

  • Experience with detection systems, moderation workflows, automation ramp strategies, or human-in-the-loop operations is highly valuable for this role.
