The Commercial and Investment Bank Recovery and Resolution Team is an integral part of the Firmwide Recovery and Resolution Planning Team within Corporate Treasury and the Chief Investment Office. This role offers an opportunity to support the development and execution of recovery and resolution planning deliverables that contribute to the stability and resilience of the organization.
As a member of the Corporate and Investment Bank Recovery and Resolution Team, you will play a pivotal role in preparing the Corporate and Investment Bank inputs for the recovery and resolution plans of our bank holding company and insured depository institution subsidiary. This highly visible, cross-functional role provides the opportunity to support large-scale regulatory deliverables for CIB, work closely with stakeholders across the firm, and develop materials for senior management review.
This role requires a strong level of organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to contribute to time-sensitive regulatory deliverables in a fast-paced environment. You will take key involvement in regular stakeholder sessions, help communicate significant updates, track takeaways and next steps, and contribute to high standards and best practices across the CIB deliverables for the firm’s recovery and resolution plans.
Job responsibilities
Develop a strong understanding of key recovery and resolution planning processes, with a focus on CIB deliverables, inputs, and opportunities for improvement.
Support the coordination and delivery of recovery and resolution plan materials for our bank holding company and insured depository institution subsidiary.
Build effective working relationships with lines of business and corporate functions to support delivery of the CIB components of the firm’s recovery and resolution plans in line with supervisory expectations.
Contribute to the development and implementation of business-as-usual operating models for plan submissions.
Support CIB Working Group meetings by preparing materials, capturing key discussion points, tracking actions, and contributing subject matter knowledge on CIB elements of the plans.
Help identify issues, assess risks, and escalate matters in a timely and appropriate manner.
Coordinate CIB responses and provide guidance to stakeholders on regulatory requests related to recovery and resolution planning.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Relevant experience working with financial services regulations, preferably including US regulatory requirements
Good understanding of recovery and resolution planning requirements, with familiarity across US, UK, and EU regulatory frameworks preferred
Experience supporting regulatory policy, regulatory advocacy, or regulatory engagement activities
Experience supporting projects at financial institutions, with the ability to manage deadlines, balance competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a dynamic environment
Ability to work collaboratively across teams, contribute to shared objectives, and support an inclusive and high-performing team culture
Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with appropriate guidance
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, build stakeholder relationships, and support senior management communications
Experience preparing presentations and written materials, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to summarise complex issues clearly and contribute to stakeholder discussions
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
General understanding of CIB products, businesses, and organisational structure
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise information from multiple sources, develop clear conclusions, and prepare materials for presentation to CIB and firmwide executive management
Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a sense of teamwork.
Self-starter: strong degree of self-reliance and ability to work autonomously.
Experience in presentations along with strong written & oral communication skills.
Ability to think creatively with a problem-solving mindset.
Drive deadlines, diligent, ability to deliver in a timely matter.
Educated to degree level with 3+ years’ work experience.
