Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in problem-solving.
  • Passion for and understanding of YouTube products with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to communicate in French fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
  • Strong problem-solving skills including an entrepreneurial and creative approach, attention to detail, demonstrated collaboration instincts and the ability to convey complex technical, financial or business details with clarity.

YouTube is already a shopping destination, and the YouTube Shopping team is building experiences to make shopping content more discoverable, engaging and ultimately transactable to make YouTube more engaging for viewers, more valuable for brands and to give creators a new source of income on YouTube.

In this role, you will be responsible for the successful launch and ongoing scaling and growth of YouTube Shopping in Canada. Working as part of the wider YouTube Canada business team, you will help merchants and creators find success and grow their business through our Shopping products.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams within YouTube and Google (Legal, Partner Development, Marketing, Content Partnerships, Strategy, Google Shopping, etc.) to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Canada: $162000 - $166000 (CAD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Build, negotiate, and maintain relationships with brand and merchant partners to drive growth and mutual success.
  • Execute merchant initiatives such as creator commission boosts and YouTube-specific promo codes to expand sales via YouTube Shopping.
  • Utilize internal dashboards and analytics to evaluate campaign impact, deliver insights, and guide regular performance reviews with partners.
  • Partner with product, sales, marketing, legal, and operational teams across YouTube and Global Business Organization (GBO) to deliver tailored partner solutions.
  • Serve as the bridge for critical partner feedback to inform product development while overseeing merchant campaign workstreams.
