II. Your Impact
The Engineering Cyber, Disaster Recovery, Resiliency and Recovery Specialist manages resiliency, disaster recovery, and cyber recovery testing for critical applications across Engineering and Business Units. The role supports the development of policies, governance, standards, and testing frameworks that help ensure business resilience, service continuity, and recoverability are appropriately validated.
This role partners closely with Technology Infrastructure, Application team, Risk Management, Corporate Services, Operational Risk, Internal Audit, and Business teams to plan, coordinate, and execute Technology resiliency events, including Disaster Recovery testing, Cyber Recovery testing, Data Center failover tests, building power-down events, concentration testing, pandemic tests, and industry/regulatory resiliency exercises. The specialist helps application and infrastructure teams validate recovery strategies, understand recovery dependencies, establish order of recovery, maintain evidence, identify control gaps, and improve resiliency processes. The role also contributes to automation and tooling initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve recovery plan quality, and strengthen the firm's ability to respond to business disruption, technology outages, and cyber recovery scenarios.

Enterprise Technology Operations - Engineering Cyber, Resiliency and Recovery Specialist
Enterprise Technology Operations (Engineering Cyber, Resiliency and Recovery Specialist) is responsible for strategic initiatives that reduce risk and improve resiliency and recoverability across Engineering. The team helps ensure effective recovery plans are in place, aligned with firm resiliency strategies, and validated through testing across people, products, platforms, and functions. The team drives adoption of standards, controls, platforms, and automation to improve recovery plan quality, reduce manual effort, support Business Continuity test credit, track exemptions, maintain evidence, and identify key application and infrastructure dependencies.
IV. How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
. Manage education, awareness, and adoption of the Engineering Resiliency, Disaster Recovery, and Cyber Recovery programs across Engineering divisions and Business Units.
. Engage Business Units and application teams to review, improve, and validate resiliency and recovery plans.
. Partner with Technology Business Leaders to ensure critical applications are recoverable, recovery dependencies are understood, and recovery capabilities are tested on a regular basis.
. Lead and coordinate infrastructure and application Disaster Recovery testing, Cyber Recovery testing, Data Center failover events, and building power-down events.
. Define test scope to include shared service dependencies, upstream and downstream application dependencies, infrastructure dependencies, order of recovery, and critical recovery milestones.
. Work with application owners to adopt mandated controls and improve recovery procedures in line with uplifted resiliency and recovery requirements.
. Support Cyber Recovery testing by helping teams validate their ability to recover in cyber attack scenarios and execute cyber recovery procedures.
. Coordinate and manage regulatory resiliency recovery tests, including SIFMA industry-wide exercises, SPOOR-related tests, and MAS-guided resiliency events.
. Maintain test documentation and evidence in accordance with internal governance, audit, risk, and regulatory expectations.
. Liaise with internal and external teams to schedule test activities, monitor progress, document outcomes, and maintain evidence to support audit, risk management, and regulatory expectations.
. Partner with Operational Risk Management, Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Technology stakeholders to ensure resiliency and recovery activities align with firm strategy and applicable requirements.
. Conduct and coordinate Business Impact Analysis reviews to understand business workflows, recovery needs, dependencies, workarounds, and recovery alternatives during outage or cyber recovery scenarios.
. Act as a trusted advisor to business divisions and application teams on business resilience, cyber recovery readiness, recovery simulations, testing, tooling, and risk mitigation strategies.
. Support governance forums, resilience committees, risk committees, threat awareness activities, assurance reviews, and planning discussions related to recovery readiness.
. Drive process improvement by identifying gaps in procedures, test execution, control adoption, recovery documentation, and evidence management.
. Identify opportunities for automation and tooling to improve recovery planning, reduce manual effort, and enhance operational effectiveness.
. Oversee execution plans, initiate inventory and infrastructure readiness checks, coordinate application ready-for-business checks, and manage incidents or escalations related to resiliency activities.
V. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education and Experience- Degree: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: Four to five years in tech, risk, or disaster recovery.
- Risk and Recovery: Know tech risk, business continuity, and cyber recovery.
- Metrics: Understand recovery goals like RTO and RPO.
- Testing: Tell the difference between regular tests, disaster tests, and cyber tests.
- Systems: Coordinate tests for databases and data storage.
- Tools: Use Excel to analyze data and track reports.
B. Preferred Qualifications
. Hands-on experience supporting application lifecycle activities for large systems, including exposure to Python or Java, JSON, REST APIs, AWS, GitLab, CI/CD, and SDLC concepts.
. Hands-on expertise with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and Kubernetes to support and manage disaster recovery activities.
. Strong understanding of core Data Center infrastructure, including network appliances, storage technologies, Unix/Linux/Windows, IP telephony, and infrastructure recovery sequencing.
. Prior experience as a System Administrator, Application Support Engineer, or similar technology operations role.
. Prior experience with automation and workflow toolsets used to streamline recovery planning, execution, reporting, and evidence collection.
. Ability to analyze issues during testing or recovery events, identify possible alternatives, support remediation, and confirm issue closure.
. Strong ability to ask probing questions to understand failover, recovery, cyber recovery, and business continuity requirements.
