## About this Role
We are seeking a skilled Platform Developer to join our Digital & IT Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and maintaining cloud‑native software components that support secure, scalable, and high‑performing digital platforms across multiple markets.
Working within cross‑functional, product‑focused squads, you will contribute to the delivery of end‑to‑end digital experiences and customer journeys. You will apply modern engineering practices, collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders, and actively support agile delivery methodologies.The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with a passion for building resilient, high‑quality solutions in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
## What you will do
* Build high‑quality, maintainable software across backend services, APIs, data flows, and integration layers using cloud‑native and event‑driven patterns
* Collaborate with Technical Leads, Product Owners, and Delivery Leads to refine requirements, estimate work, and deliver incremental value through agile development
* Write clean, secure, and well‑tested code for microservices, APIs, and integration componentsImplement solutions aligned to architecture guidelines and platform engineering standards
* Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives)
* Contribute to test automation and quality‑first engineering practices, including unit and integration testingSupport CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational readiness to enable reliable and efficient deployment cycles
* Diagnose incidents, resolve defects, and continuously improve platform servicesMaintain clear documentation and contribute to reusable engineering components
* Support optimisation of performance, scalability, and resilience across services
* Collaborate with external partners where applicable to sustain delivery quality and alignment with engineering standards
