Who we are looking for 

State Street is seeking an innovative and technically strong Senior Associate, Agentic Quality Engineering to help design, develop, and operationalize AI Agent capabilities that transform how quality engineering activities are performed across the software delivery lifecycle. 

This role will focus on building QA-focused AI Agent skills, developing reusable agent capabilities, creating domain-specific knowledge assets, and enabling project teams to adopt Agentic Engineering practices at scale. 

The successful candidate will combine expertise in Quality Engineering with emerging AI technologies to build intelligent solutions that improve productivity, software quality, and delivery outcomes.

This role will help bridge AI innovation and practical delivery by transforming quality engineering knowledge, processes, and best practices into reusable AI agent capabilities that can be leveraged across engineering teams and strategic programs. 

You will play a key role in helping define how AI agents are built, evaluated, governed, and successfully adopted within real-world delivery environments. 

What you will be responsible for 

Agent Skill Development 

• Design and develop reusable AI Agent skills supporting Quality Engineering activities. 

• Transform testing methodologies, quality standards, and engineering practices into executable agent capabilities. 

• Create and maintain agent instructions, prompts, workflows, and knowledge assets. 

• Improve agent reasoning quality, response accuracy, and task execution effectiveness. 

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for agent automation and augmentation. 

Agentic Solution Enablement 

• Configure and customize AI agent capabilities to support project delivery needs. 

• Partner with delivery teams to integrate agent solutions into existing SDLC processes. 

• Drive adoption of Agentic Engineering practices across multiple teams and applications. 

• Support implementation of intelligent workflows involving multiple agents and engineering tools. 

Knowledge Engineering 

• Develop and curate quality engineering knowledge repositories to improve agent grounding and performance. 

• Structure testing frameworks, standards, playbooks, and best practices into reusable knowledge assets. 

• Continuously improve knowledge quality, discoverability, and governance. 

AI Evaluation & Quality Assurance 

• Establish methods to evaluate agent effectiveness, accuracy, reliability, and business value. 

• Validate AI-generated outputs against engineering standards and project requirements. 

• Identify and address quality risks associated with AI-generated content and decisions. 

• Support responsible AI adoption through transparency, traceability, and governance controls. 

Innovation & Continuous Improvement 

• Explore emerging Agentic AI technologies and industry best practices. 

• Experiment with new agent frameworks, orchestration approaches, and automation opportunities. 

• Contribute to organizational AI strategy and capability development. 

• Share learnings and enable broader adoption across the engineering organization.

Education & Preferred Qualifications 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field. 

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or related technical disciplines. 

• Experience working in Agile software delivery environments. 

• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and quality engineering practices. 

• Experience Agent Development on Github Copilot/MS Copilot/Google Vertex 

Preferred Technical Skills 

Experience with several of the following: 

• Generative AI platforms and tools 

• Large Language Models (LLMs) 

• Prompt Engineering 

• Python 

• Knowledge Base Design 

• Workflow Automation 

• API Integration 

• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) 

• Test Automation Frameworks 

Preferred Experience 

• Developing or configuring AI agents for enterprise use cases. 

• Building domain-specific AI skills and reusable automation assets. 

• Applying AI solutions within software delivery or quality engineering environments. 

• Experience leading technical demonstrations, workshops, or training sessions. 

• Evaluating and improving AI-generated outputs. 

• Financial services industry experience is a plus.
