Job Description:
Let me tell you about the role
Responsible for lubricants production planning for the Malaysian and Export market. Accountable for accurate planning for all the filling lines and blending tanks in the plant to ensure minimum downtime and high efficiency. Also accountable for Manufacturing Capacity planning and managing storage of raw materials. Track and monitor the adherence of the Plan vs. Actual production to eliminate stock out.
What you will deliver
- Ensure safe operation and compliance with CASTROL’s HSSE policies and procedures in Manufacturing Planning operation
- Maintain Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) for PKI manufacturing blending and filling
- Lead the team on monitoring production vs. plan on daily basis to ensure the order is being produced as per planned.
- Lead the team on maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for all blending and filling centers.
- Lead the team on ensuring the production schedule being planned by considering the cross-contamination matrix and as to reduce change over and increase efficiency.
- Lead the team on ensuring proper inventories are maintained for raw material stocks of base oils, additives and empty containers by implementing a systematic control of the “ins and outs”, including accurate record of damages and losses. Institute stock checks on all raw materials and ensures that discrepancies are reported for official write in and write off.
- Lead the team on leading the processing of manufacturing and 3rd party toll blender work orders based on weekly firming from Supply Planning. This included ensuring sufficient supply of packaging and on time receiving of raw materials and ensuring updating of weekly filling plan.
- Ensure execution of monthly production plan through accurate scheduling.
- Ensure that incoming raw materials conform to specifications by verifying the quality to be within product specification limits.
- Ensure raw materials storage being fully leveraged to ensure productivity cost benefit.
- Responsible for packaging inventory replenishment for in-house and third-party manufacturing.
- Ensure purchase of raw materials and packaging are covered with Schedule C (sales tax exemption facilities)
- Act as Risk Owner for risk events as assigned in the facility risk register with accountabilities
Essential Experience and Job Requirement
Technical Competencies
- Good understanding JDE (JD Edwards System) and Custom Schedule C (Sales tax Exemption)
- Possess good knowledge of production operations and processes.
- Understand the requirement of HSE pertaining to fieldwork.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
- Possess good planning and controlling skills.
- Problem solving – able to identify risks / pitfalls and take appropriate actions; able to develop and employ a variety of approaches to resolve wide-ranging problem.
- IT literate - ability to increase IT systems/ software usage in facilitating decision making and problem solving.
- Good negotiation skill

HSSE Accountabilities:
- Adhere all CASTROL’s HSSE policies and procedures (including wearing of personal protective equipment; accident, injury, incident and Near Miss reporting; and the correct use of equipment) as well as to adhere to all HSSE directions of line manager or HSSE manager
- Participate in HSSE training and discussions, workplace inspections and audits, and assist in the resolution of health and safety issues as required
- Contribute to successful implementation of HSSE programs and initiatives
- Act as Risk Owner for risk events as assigned in the facility risk register with accountabilities including proper documentation and assessment of the risk event, consulting with subject matter experts as appropriate, assign action owners to risk reduction measures, monitoring and self-verification of risk reduction measures to closure with effectiveness and communication of the importance of the risk reduction measures to the workforce that may be affected.
- Act as response team member for crisis / continuity management, with accountabilities consistent with relevant response plans and as assigned by the response team leader.
- Act as owner of operations within the area of accountability, ensuring all activities, products and services are appropriately documented to allow for regulatory applicability to be captured. Act as point of contact for these operations to create appropriate compliance tasks.
- Know, understand and implement the OMS requirements applicable to the role.
- Support Delivery of the HSSE plan and implement the OMS requirements applicable to my role
- Act as CASTROL Contract Accountable manager to ensure safe execution of the contracted work while applying the Working with contractor process throughout for 3rd party storage terminal service provided as specify in COMPASS
- In the capacity of Field Inspector, ensure timely completion of Field Inspections as per the annual plan, document all comments in e-Wells, and ensure appropriate actions to address findings are assigned, documented, and monitored to closure as per the procedure
