The Incumbent serves as the Audiovisual Information Specialist for the Medical Media Branch of Orlando VA Healthcare System. The Audiovisual Production Specialist is responsible for independently utilizing multimedia-based tools and information to support and enhance the communications process. The Incumbent captures, creates, and exploits visual images and sounds that provide timely, accurate, and highly accessible information for communication, assessment, training, and decision-making.
Duties include but are not limited to: Production of a wide range of audiovisual products, photographic media, and graphics used independently or in combination, in support of VA and other related duties as assigned. Coordinates and integrates Medical Media services affecting the organization with a focus on exceptional customer service for both internal and external customers. Requires extensive interrelationships across the Medical Center with all Services to focus on continuous customer service improvement. Desktop publishing, video production, graphics production, and photography as requested by the various sections it supports. Plans, organizes, and directs the work of writers, editors, actors, narrators, musicians, set designers, audio and lighting technicians, camera operators, and other associated technical personnel to produce, select, and arrange the actions, sounds, and visual effects required for the finished production. Responsible for filming people, in their normal work area and occupation, to produce local training videos, Video News Releases, feature stories, public service announcements, and interactive Web content for video streaming purposes. Assists clients with instructional design of media productions, e.g., educational objectives, target audience description, script design, formative evaluation, etc. Utilizes photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop to manipulate digital photos, such as resizing, reshaping, cropping, adding text, and/or enhancing colors and features. Produces live, digital in-house transmissions, or prerecorded videos featuring the Medical Center Director, supervisors, managers, or other subject matter experts to convey local, VISN, or National programs or initiatives for broad dispersant. Responsible for, maintaining the equipment and ensuring video teleconferences are properly set up. Develops appropriate on and off-screen narration to convey information to the desired audience. Performs other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
