The Deputy Manager - Quality (ADLEC) will play a pivotal role in controlling and supervising quality assurance processes, working closely with process owners to enhance efficiency and product quality. This role is integral to the company's commitment to delivering high-quality electrical and digital systems, and the successful candidate will have a direct impact on the company's reputation and customer satisfaction.
- Design and implement robust quality processes, collaborating with process owners to streamline operations.
- Conduct thorough product and process audits, ensuring daily inspection activities are effective.
- Implement quality checks to prevent errors and maintain product integrity.
- Perform root cause analysis on quality issues and present findings to senior management.
- Conduct stage-wise verifications to ensure compliance and control costs.
- Provide timely solutions to quality-related challenges.
- Manage field returns and recommend corrective actions to improve product performance.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints, maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Conduct calibration activities and manage the availability of measuring instruments.
- Track and achieve quality performance targets, ensuring continuous improvement.
- BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in the Quality department, with a focus on Electrical Switchgear/Switchboard industry.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Process, Product, and Quality System Audits.
- Quality certifications such as ISO, TQM, or Six Sigma are preferred.
- Internal Auditor certification for ISO 9001/14001 is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and quality tools like SPC and SOC.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
- A strong understanding of Electrical Switchgears, Switchboards, and relevant IS/IEC standards.
- Knowledge of testing methods and equipment operation.
- Familiarity with Product Qualification, PPAP, and PFMEA tools is desirable.
