The Regional Applications Team is looking for an experienced Applications Engineer to join our customer facing technical support team. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers and field sales teams, for our industry leading high-performance products, solutions, and reference designs. Support is provided by phone, email, and face to face customer engagements.
The candidate will support our customers at both component and system level. The team play a vital role in enhancing our customers end products, through optimizing the use of our technologies in their overall designs.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Email, phone, and in-person technical support for regional customers.
- Technical expertise consultations for field sales teams and customers at both a component and system level.
- Conducting internal and external technical trainings.
- Design and debugging at all stages of customer’s project cycle.
- Writing technical articles and application notes.
- Creating system level demos for specific focus applications.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree, 7+ years of experience in semiconductors/electronics industry in applications engineering, preferably in customer support roles.
- General knowledge of analogue & mixed signal electronics. Specialisation in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage: Precision and High Speed signal chains, Power Management, RF and Microwave, Embedded Processors, Isolation and Interface, MEMs & Sensors.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to mentor less experienced members of the team, technically and strategically.
- Strong team player capable of working in a multi-location international team.
- Able to work effectively within global organization with complex matrix structures and cross functional teams.
- Continuously seeks to improve functional and professional skills and knowledge.
