Location: Naval Branch Health Clinic (NBHC), Meridian, MS
Start Date: Immediate
Schedule: Full-Time — Monday–Friday, 8.5–9 hour shifts between 0700–1600 (no more than 80 hours per 2-week period)

What You'll Do
Clinical Care
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients across all age ranges for acute illness, chronic conditions, and general health maintenance.
- Perform minor surgical and clinical procedures within scope of privileges.
- Order and interpret laboratory and radiological tests, and prescribe appropriate medications.
- Initiate referrals to specialized care when clinically indicated.
- Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals and health/wellness counseling.
- Perform required military physical exams, including periodic health assessments (PHAs), deployment-limiting evaluations, and separation/retirement physicals.
- Conduct occupational medicine exams, including pre-employment, baseline, and periodic surveillance evaluations.
- Document all patient encounters promptly and accurately in MHS GENESIS (DoD electronic health record system).
- Provide medical guidance and in-service training to ancillary clinic staff, including Corpsmen and nursing staff.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of military and civilian healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
Education
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from a school accredited by the LCME, AOA Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation, or an ACGME-recognized accrediting body.
- Foreign-trained physicians must demonstrate equivalency via permanent ECFMG certification, a Fifth Pathway certificate, or successful completion of the USMLE.
- Successful completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP).
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (hands-on training required; web-based-only courses not accepted).
- Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Family Practice Physician.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
