The Position

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for end-to-end sourcing activities. This role ensures effective and efficient delivery of core procurement services, including sourcing strategy execution, vendor selection and negotiation, contract drafting and execution, stakeholder collaboration, category strategy contribution, and supplier relationship management. They play a critical role in translating business needs into actionable sourcing and spend management activities while driving continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities

  • Execute sourcing requests within the assigned country or region, ensuring efficiency and high-quality customer service.

  • Understand and analyze end-user requirements.

  • Leverage sourcing knowledge to identify the best methods for driving value.

  • Apply the sourcing process (e.g., RfIs, RfQs, RfPs) and utilize e-Sourcing tools when applicable.

  • Maintain the preferred vendor database and ensure robust supplier relationship management.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build strong information flows with Business Partners.

  • Support the development and implementation of new procurement processes, policies, and technologies.

  • Work closely with the requisition-to-pay (R2P) team to ensure smooth procurement operations.

  • Maintain a comprehensive documentation system for references and audits.

  • Regularly submit operational buying data to aid in strategy development.

  • Monitor procurement targets and KPIs to ensure customer service goals are met.

  • Track metrics and address raised issues in collaboration with Business Partners.

  • Support initiatives related to supplier due diligence, diversity, anti-bribery, animal welfare, and other ethical standards.

Who You Are

  • You hold University degree, preferably in a business-related field. Postgraduate business-related qualifications and/or professional certifications in purchasing or finance is an advantage

  • You built 3 to 5 years of work experience in similar role in procurement, and you built general understanding of legal contracts and risks in purchasing agreements

  • You bring advanced communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into procurement specifications with a focus on customer service

  • You built deep knowledge of sourcing processes, methodologies, and negotiation strategies

  • Adept at challenging and collaborating with business partners and suppliers to achieve optimal procurement outcomes

  • You are proficient in systems and tools such as SAP, Google Suite, Tableau, Office tools and agile methodology tools like Trello & Lucid

  • You are able to work independently and/or as part of a team, and able to collaborate and engage with experts to maximize value

  • You are proactive, action-oriented, decisive, and capable of influencing others

  • You bring a customer focused mindset and are able to maintain and enhance the customer experience

  • You are fluent in English. Arabic is an added advantage.

  • Minimal travel (up to 5%) as required by business needs
