We’re hiring a Fleet Operations Support Specialist for our Corporate HQ in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. 

The primary responsibility of the Fleet Operations Support Specialist I is to consistently provide exceptional service and support to EquipmentShare’s internal stakeholder and branches in a multi-channel environment. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with rental and retail markets and help facilitate support requests throughout EquipmentShare. An ideal candidate’s ability to provide professional, exceptional, timely and accurate service to internal and external customers is critical to the success of this position.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Adhere to EquipmentShare’s vision, mission and values.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to EquipmentShare branches, providing clear answers and appropriate referrals.
  • Accurately, timely, and professionally respond to inquiries via Slack and a shared email inbox, meeting established quality and service standards.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to provide asset numbers to branches.
  • Support retail and used equipment sales, including drafting quotes, invoicing, and confirming ownership changes.
  • Maintain, review, and update various reports on internal platforms as assigned.
  • Utilize systems according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain accurate information.
  • Exceed team goals in response delivery to enable branches to complete transactions and maintain business continuity.
  • Prepare and update operational procedure documents as living resources.
  • Facilitate and assist sales teams with Rent Purchase Option (RPO) support and documentation gathering.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure appropriate handling of branch needs.
  • Effectively manage time to ensure productivity and turnaround times meet established service standards.
  • Maintain adequate knowledge of EquipmentShare products, service offerings, processes, and core systems.
  • Utilize appropriate resources to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within established service standards.
  • Comply with EquipmentShare’s departmental and corporate policies and procedures, as well as mandated state and federal laws and requirements.
  • Enhance construction industry and functional job knowledge through active participation in learning and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with co-workers to achieve departmental and company goals and standards.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications 

  • Possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task and navigate various programs and applications while providing timely service to branches.
  • Working knowledge of G-Suite, including Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive.
  • Ability to acquire new skills proficiently.
  • Accept responsibility for actions and learn from mistakes.
  • Maintain flexibility and adapt positively to change.
  • Ability to work quickly and think logically, especially under pressure.
  • Ability to clearly explain the operational function of a system to a branch.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a positive contribution to departmental and company success.
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic/complex written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, using correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and sentence structure.

Possess a professional, enthusiastic, and friendly demeanor.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required; college degree desired.
  • A minimum of one year of administrative experience demonstrating proficiency in the skills listed below or experience maintaining a fleet in a computerized environment.
  • Past experience in construction, preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time as well as work on a computer for
    extended
