P&C Business Partner roles-Corporate and Field (Hybrid in Kansas City)

In this role, you will partner closely with field and corporate leaders to strengthen organizational effectiveness, develop leadership capability, drive workforce planning, and support business transformation.
As a trusted consultant and coach, the People & Culture Business Partner leverages broad HR expertise to address complex organizational challenges, influence business decisions, and deliver talent strategies that enable sustainable growth and exceptional associate experiences.
These positions support a large, geographically dispersed field organization and require a strong consulting mindset, the ability to influence at all levels, and a passion for creating exceptional associate experiences.
These roles require travel of up to 30% during key periods of the year to support field leaders and business initiatives.
Strategic Partnership & Organizational Effectiveness
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior field and corporate leaders on workforce strategy, organizational effectiveness, talent management, and change.
- Partner with leaders to assess organizational needs, identify opportunities, and implement solutions that improve performance and engagement.
- Support organizational design, restructuring, and business transformation initiatives to enable business objectives.
- Use workforce insights and organizational health indicators to guide decision-making.
Talent Strategy & Succession Planning
- Lead talent review, succession planning, and workforce planning processes for the field organization.
- Identify and develop high-potential talent while strengthening leadership pipelines and readiness.
- Maintain and evolve competency frameworks that support hiring, development, performance, and career growth.
- Partner with leaders to create development plans and career pathways aligned with business needs.
Leadership Coaching & Development
- Coach leaders on performance management, employee development, team effectiveness, and organizational impact.
- Support leadership onboarding and capability-building initiatives that strengthen leadership effectiveness.
- Provide guidance on talent decisions, engagement, and change management.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Partner with Associate Relations and Legal to address complex employee relations matters and workplace concerns.
- Lead or support investigations and resolution strategies consistent with company policies and employment practices.
- Promote a positive associate experience while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, and Associate Relations) teams to deliver integrated people solutions.
- Ensure enterprise talent and people initiatives are effectively implemented across the field organization.
- Leverage data and workforce analytics to measure impact and influence business decisions.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including HR Business Partner or strategic consulting experience.
- Experience advising senior leaders and influencing organizational decisions.
- Strong knowledge of organizational design, talent management, workforce planning, employee relations, and change management.
- Demonstrated success supporting business transformation and organizational change.
- Ability to travel up to 30% during key periods of the year to support field leaders and business initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large, geographically dispersed or field-based organizations.
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent).
- Experience using workforce analytics and talent insights to drive strategic decisions.
- Leadership coaching and organizational development experience.
- Ability to use AI-enabled tools to streamline day-to-day work, stengthen communication and data processing, and identify opportunities to redesign or automate process steps in ways that improve speed, accuracy, and business impact.
