The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the Commercial Quality Management System (QMS) for GE HealthCare's Sales and Service organizations across India and South Asia. In this role, you will help strengthen quality culture, ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements, support audit readiness, facilitate issue resolution, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across commercial operations. Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS): Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Commercial Quality Management System (QMS). Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements while monitoring quality metrics and promoting a culture of quality.
Commercial Quality Support: Partner with Sales, Service, Installation, and Field Engineering teams across India and South Asia to provide quality guidance, ensure consistent execution of quality processes, and identify improvement opportunities.
Audits & Compliance: Support internal audits, process assessments, and audit readiness by conducting process walkthroughs, verifying compliance, and driving timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement: Participate in root cause investigations, support CAPA activities, analyze quality trends, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable process improvements.
Training & Quality Culture: Monitor quality training completion, support deployment of training programs, improve awareness of quality requirements, and assist with leadership reporting on training and compliance metrics.
Stakeholder Management: Build strong cross-functional relationships, communicate quality expectations effectively, influence compliance, and serve as a trusted quality partner to the commercial organization.
Travel: Travel within India and South Asia, as required, to support audits, assessments, training, and commercial quality initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Electronics, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management Systems, or a related quality function within the Medical Device or Healthcare industry.
Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality processes.
Experience supporting quality activities in commercial quality, manufacturing quality, or design quality environments.
Familiarity with: ISO 13485, ISO 9001, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), Root Cause Analysis methodologies, Audit management and process compliance, Risk-based thinking
Exposure to: Internal quality audits, Regulatory and quality compliance activities, Quality investigations, Continuous improvement initiatives
