Job Description
Role : COMSOL Engineer
Work Scope
The individual will be responsible for developing and executing acoustic finite element (FE) models in COMSOL Multiphysics for a range of metallic and composite structures to support ultrasonic analysis and inspection studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-fidelity acoustic/ultrasonic FE models in COMSOL for representative metallic and composite components.
- Model ultrasound transducers, including geometry, material properties, boundary conditions, and coupling with the test structure.
- Define and apply appropriate transducer excitation conditions to simulate ultrasonic wave generation.
- Simulate ultrasound wave propagation through metallic and composite media, including relevant material anisotropy, damping, and interface effects where applicable
