Workplace Host

Position Summary

The Workplace Host is a highly visible member of the Workplace Experience team and serves as the first point of contact for employees, guests, vendors, and business partners. This role is responsible for creating a warm, professional, and engaging environment while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the office.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a customer-focused environment, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and takes pride in creating an outstanding workplace experience.

What You'll Do

Deliver an Exceptional Workplace Experience

  • Serve as the first impression of the office by warmly welcoming employees, guests, vendors, and clients.
  • Provide a hospitality-first experience that reflects JLL's commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Manage reception operations while maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to workplace questions and requests.
  • Build trusted relationships with client employees through proactive communication and outstanding service.

Reception & Visitor Management

  • Manage visitor arrivals, check-in procedures, and host notifications.
  • Ensure all visitors have a seamless arrival experience.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers entering the workplace.
  • Maintain visitor records in accordance with company and client policies.

Workplace Operations

  • Receive, log, track, and distribute all incoming and outgoing packages with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Coordinate courier shipments and maintain package tracking records.
  • Support conference room readiness by assisting with meeting setups and room resets.
  • Assist with weekly catered lunch service, including setup, replenishment, and cleanup.
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies, pantry inventory, and workplace amenities.
  • Perform routine workplace walks to ensure workstations, conference rooms, kitchens, collaboration spaces, and common areas are clean, organized, stocked, and presentation-ready.
  • Identify workplace issues and coordinate timely resolution with Facilities or Workplace Experience leadership.

Client Partnership

  • Develop positive working relationships with client stakeholders and employees.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in all interactions.
  • Support workplace events, employee engagement activities, and special projects.
  • Attend Workplace Experience team meetings and actively contribute ideas for enhancing the employee experience.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Management, Security, Food Services, and other partners to ensure seamless workplace operations.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in hospitality, reception, workplace experience, administrative support, customer service, hotel operations, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency with Google Workspace, including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, and Drive.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport across all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a corporate office environment.
  • Experience with visitor management systems and package tracking software.
  • Hospitality, hotel, concierge, or customer experience background.
  • Experience supporting workplace events or employee engagement initiatives.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time, on-site position requiring attendance in the office five days per week.
  • Primarily based at the reception desk while supporting workplace operations throughout the office.
  • Frequent walking throughout the workplace.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move packages or office supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Estimated compensation for this position:

72,200.00 – 72,255.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
