Position Description
We are hiring a EU Field Application Scientist- EMEA. The EU Field Application Scientist- EMEA will work closely with account managers, sales specialists, and associate FAS to build and maintain productive customer relationships, conduct product demonstrations, and provide technical support on technologies utilized by customers within the Fujifilm Biosciences offering. They will utilize strong technical acumen and experience to provide solutions and support for sales opportunities and to increase overall product adoption and revenue.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Support the sales organization to provide remote and in person technical support to customers, sales and distributors (via phone, email, customer visits) through product presentations, demonstrations and application studies, and on new products in close collaboration with product management through beta sites testing and demonstrations
- Leverage strong structured problem-solving skills to identify and resolve customer need
- Communicate with the sales organization to ensure all business needs are met.
- Be responsible for the assigned product line to support sales target achievement in the defined territory
- Provide voice of customer to internal teams on product performance, implementation and development areas
- Provide input on new product ideas; participate in market assessments for proposed products
- Provide basic product training to the selling organization and develop external customer workshops and seminars with marketing.
- Develop and nurture a network of key thought leaders/influencers in the Life Science space
- Support quality department in the quality complaint process by troubleshooting and analyzing customers processes for better investigation and resolution
- Prepare monthly reports for Supervisor and appropriate Product Managers to provide insights and actions
- Track activities and feedback in SFDC
- Attend tradeshows/events and participate in assigned marketing efforts
- Perform literature review on products, applications, and market areas including competitor product assessments to share with product management and marketing.
- Available to travel up to 50% within assigned region, based on customer need, and some international travel may be required.
Required Skills/Education:
- BS in Biology, Biochemical Engineering or related Life Sciences discipline. MS or PhD is desirable.
- Ideal candidate will have experience in either:a biotech/biopharm/vaccine company in late-stage R&D and/or Process Development for Upstream BioProcessing or a Media development and supply company, being directly involved in an analogous FAS role and/or customer-engaged media optimization/custom product development activities.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the biotech/biopharm sector.
- Comparable experiences will be considered
- Intermediate level of cell culture science, bioprocess, and general ‘technical marketing’ techniques.
- Strong technical skills
- Aptitude for understanding, communicating, and training scientific concepts, applications and methods.
- Highly motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and adjust quickly.

- Well organized
- Ability to work closely with sales members to help achieve mutually beneficial goals

- Proficient in Office 365 Suite, ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, SharePoint, PowerBI
Salary and Benefits:
- The base salary range for this position $93,400-$132,200. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
