What you’ll do:

  • The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide day-to-day account management and business development of Eaton's colocation data center customers. These will be named accounts, whereby this role will have a limited number of accounts, rather than a broad territory or segment. There may be additional accounts added to this as required.
  • Leads the day-to-day interaction with these named accounts for all aspects of Eaton. They will be the face of Eaton in front of all titles and roles within the customer.
  • Proactively manages current and future business with the named accounts.
  • Assumes all account management and business development duties for each named account. This includes but is not limited to:

a. Proactive meetings for current and future business b. Addresses any short- and long-term concerns and issues c. Manages a pipeline and forecast for each named account, as well as an overall pipeline and forecast for Eaton's EA Japan business d. Takes the commercial and relationship lead in responding to RFP, RFT's and RFI's e. Participates in formal and informal meetings f. Hunts for new business within these named accounts

  • Assists all countries in the Region to resolve issues, help drive business and be the gateway into customer teams
  • Assumes role as the point of escalation for colocation customers where required
  • Works closely with Eaton country teams to aim for successful biddings
  • Works closely with applications engineering, bid management and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • To be committed & responsible for Quality Management System:

a. Implement the process approach and risk-based thinking b. Provide the necessary support to fully implement and sustain the QMS c. Communicating to the organization the importance of conforming to QMS requirements d. Ensuring the QMS meets its goals e. Engage, direct, and support individuals contributing to the QMS f. Create a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a technical or business field, and/or 7 years of equivalent experience in an equivalent role.

Minimum 3 years managing regional accounts

  • Japanese native/fluent level, English business level
  • Strong working knowledge forecast and pipeline management.
  • Experience in RFP/RFT process and submittals
  • Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and be flexible
  • Superb time management skills
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure during conflict and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage at all levels
  • Leadership and executive presence when dealing with C-level
  • Highly organised, with a demonstratable sales and cadence process
  • Self-starter and self-motivated
