Skip to main contentEnglishEnglishBack to all jobsIntern (m/f/d) Hardware Integration & Robot Control SystemsGermany, Munich (HQ)Full-timeIntern / StudentApply for this jobAbout the roleThe AI Research Division of Agile Robots is looking for an Intern (m/f/d) Hardware Integration & Robot Control Systems, who will set up, calibrate, and bring physical robot platforms into reliable operation, covering control infrastructure, motion execution, and the validation pipelines that bridge simulation and real-world deployment.Your ResponsibilitiesHardware Setup: Set up, calibrate, and maintain robotic hardware components, including robot arms, end-effectors, and sensors, to ensure safe and repeatable operation.Control Infrastructure: Build and maintain software pipelines for real-time robot control, enabling stable and responsive system behaviour across test and deployment configurations.Motion Integration: Integrate and validate motion planning pipelines to ensure consistent and accurate task execution on physical hardware.Sim-to-Real Validation: Develop and maintain testing environments that bridge simulation (MuJoCo, Isaac Sim) and real-world deployment, identifying failure modes across both.System Testing: Perform structured testing, debugging, and performance analysis to identify system limitations before and during deployment.Essential SkillsAcademic Background: Currently enrolled in a Master's programme in Robotics, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or a related field.Programming: Practical experience in Python and/or C++ for robotics system development.Robotics Frameworks: Hands-on experience with ROS2 in Linux-based development environments.Robot Fundamentals: Working understanding of robot kinematics, dynamics, and control principles, with practical experience on physical systems.Beneficial SkillsSimulation Environments: Experience with simulation environments such as MuJoCo or Isaac Sim.System Integration: Familiarity with hardware-software integration and debugging in complex robotic systems.Validation Design: Experience designing structured tests and validation workflows for robotics applications.Reproducibility: Knowledge of versioning, configuration management, or reproducible pipeline practices.What we offerPractical learning opportunities to complement your studies.Dynamic high-tech company combined with financial soundness and world class investors.Join an interdisciplinary, international team with 60+ different nationalities in a collaborative work environment.Corporate Benefits Program that covers health, mobility and learning with 100 € net per month.Modern office facilities with a rooftop terrace overlooking Munich, free drinks & fruits, and regular company events contribute to a good working environment.About usAgile Robots SE is an international high-tech company based in Munich, Germany with a production site in Kaufbeuren and more than 2300 employees worldwide.
