As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a public school location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas by bike, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. - Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at public school locations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, bus loading zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, or security-related incidents to school administration and Allied Universal leadership.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with school personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to ride a bike.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
