Sr Network Engineer – Cloud Operations Location: Bucharest (preferred) Job Type: Full-time Role Overview Seeking a versatile Sr Network Engineer with deep expertise in load balancing platforms and data center networking. This role focuses on designing, operating, and evolving scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions across Adobe’s private and public cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on expertise in application delivery with operational excellence in large-scale environments, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across platform and application teams. Key Responsibilities Core Skill and Focus (Mandatory) Design, implement, and operate F5 BIG-IP solutions (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, APM) in large-scale production environments Lead troubleshooting of complex production issues (latency, TLS/SSL behavior, traffic distribution, routing anomalies) Drive excellence in incident management, root cause analysis, and change management processes Partner closely with application, platform, and SRE teams to ensure reliable and performant service delivery Maintain and evolve operational standards, documentation, and best practices for load balancing platforms Ensure compliance with change control, security standards, and operational procedures Participate in on-call rotation and support maintenance activities Highly Desirable Design and operate modern data center fabrics using VXLAN EVPN architectures Work with fabric orchestration platforms such as Cisco Nexus Dashboard (NDFC/DCNM) Contribute to underlay/overlay networking designs (BGP, MPLS, EVPN) Integrate load balancing solutions with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments Support application delivery for Kubernetes-based platforms Improve observability and event instrumentation using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and NMS platforms Develop automation and tooling using Python and infrastructure-as-code / DevOps frameworks Collaborate across engineering teams to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency of the platform Qualifications & Skills Mandatory 5–7+ years of experience in enterprise-scale network engineering or SRE roles Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM and DNS/GTM) in production environments Proven expertise in troubleshooting application delivery issues across L4–L7 (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS) Demonstrated experience operating in large-scale environments with strong incident and change management discipline Strong Linux fundamentals and system-level troubleshooting skills Proven experience with Python scripting for automation Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Highly Desirable Strong data center networking experience: VXLAN EVPN, BGP, MPLS Experience with Cisco Nexus (NDFC/DCNM) or similar fabric orchestration platforms Experience with AWS and/or Azure networking Familiarity with Kubernetes networking and service exposure models Experience with observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, network monitoring systems) Experience with automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform, APIs, CI/CD pipelines) Experience operating and improving high-availability, global production systems About Adobe Adobe empowers everyone to create through innovative platforms and tools that unleash creativity, productivity and personalized customer experiences.
