Job Requirements:

The position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology with eight 8+ years of experience in supporting, upgrading the PeopleSoft Finance and Supply Chain applications. Position also requires demonstrable experience with each of the following:

Role Overview

The PeopleSoft Finance Techno-Functional Specialist architects, develops, tests, and supports the PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) ecosystem. This role bridges the gap between technical execution and business strategy. You will lead batch operations, critical period closes, PUM upgrades, and modern AI automation initiatives to optimize enterprise-wide business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Financial Operations & Support for ERP echo system
  • Manage daily and monthly Finance batch operations for AP, AR, and GL modules.
  • Support critical monthly and year-end financial close processes.
  • Resolve incoming application requests, batch failures, and user incidents.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for system errors to deploy permanent fixes.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting efforts with internal, external, and business teams.
  • System Upgrades & Lifecycle Management
  • Execute comprehensive retrofit analysis for custom objects during upgrades.
  • Lead major PeopleTools and PUM Image upgrade initiatives.
  • Automate testing plans and validation scripts for retrofit customizations.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles and business validation.
  • AI & Automation Innovation for Testing or batches.
  • Develop AI Agents to automate PeopleSoft Query generation and execution.
  • Implement AI-driven reporting workflows to streamline data extraction.
  • Modernize legacy reporting processes using emerging automation technologies.
  • Architecture & Development
  • Architect integrated PeopleSoft FSCM software solutions and extensions.
  • Develop custom applications using core PeopleTools frameworks.
  • Design detailed functional and technical specification documents.
  • Configure core PeopleSoft Finance module settings and approval frameworks.

 

Functional & Operations Expertise

  • Operations: Proven experience managing batch schedules and financial close cycles (AP/AR/GL), external and internal interfaces to SCM/HR/bank interfaces.
  • Finance Modules: Asset Management, Project Costing, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
  • Supply Chain Modules: PO, epro, Purchasing, Billing
  • Business Analysis: Requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, and process mapping.

Technical:

  • AI/Automation: Familiarity or hands-on experience building AI Agents, LLM prompts, or automation tools for reporting.
  • Development: Application Engine, PeopleCode, Component Interface, and Approval Framework (AWE).
  • Reporting: PeopleSoft SQR, BI Publisher, nVision, and complex PeopleSoft Query writing.

Integration: Web Services and external system API architecture.Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance Systems, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting and enhancing PeopleSoft Financials applications.
  • Strong techno-functional expertise within PeopleSoft Finance modules.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to work from the office 5 days a week.
  • Must be able to work from Bengaluru, Noida, or Hyderabad.
  • Flexibility to support business-critical activities, including financial close cycles, production deployments, and system upgrades outside regular business hours when required.
