Let’s explore them together.Job DescriptionEAG Laboratories is seeking a passionate and skilled Scientist to join our SIMS (Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry) group. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced analytical techniques and contribute to the development of innovative materials.Position Overview: As a Scientist in our SIMS group, you will perform analysis of thin films using the SIMS tool. You will analyze and test both new and existing materials to identify their properties and characteristics, aiding in product development and improvement.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive analytical work independently, including complex tasks.Apply standard and non-standard techniques to determine the composition, properties, and structure of materials.Prepare detailed reports on analytical results for customers, including interpretation of findings.Provide technical reviews for reports prepared by other analysts.Evaluate customer requests, determine testing requirements, and prepare project quotations.Ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and performance requirements.Potentially direct phases of revenue-producing projects.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (Some flexibility is required to accommodate occasional evening or weekend work when requested to support operational or business needs.)QualificationsEducation and Experience:PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Engineering with experience in materials characterization and surface analysis techniques.Skills and Abilities:Must have experience with materials characterization tools. Familiarity with quality system documents and compliance with all system requirements.Strong analytical and judgment skills.High level of computer literacy, accuracy, and attention to detail.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.Exceptional written communication skills.This position works with companies that deal with defense-related activities and is subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR:U.S. CitizenU.S. Permanent Resident (i.e....
