As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will be responsible for drawing blood samples and ensuring their quality for laboratory testing. Your role is crucial in assisting physicians with accurate diagnostics and patient care. If you have excellent attention to detail and a compassionate approach to patient interactions, we welcome you to apply. Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: https://www.primehealthcare.com/careers/benefits/ Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Prepare patients for blood draws, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the processResponsible for correct blood collection, draw blood from patients using venipuncture, capillary puncture, or other techniques; ensure proper identification and labeling of specimensOrganize, handle, and transport specimens to the laboratory for testing, ensure all specimens are properly processed and storedAdhere to quality control and safety protocols to maintain the integrity of specimens and ensure accurate test resultsMaintain and calibrate phlebotomy equipment and supplies, ensure everything is in working order and properly sanitizedPerform more complex or specialized phlebotomy procedures as required, often with minimal supervision Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
