About CES

Accelerating the transition to a circular economy

We are proud to be an active contributor in the circular economy through container deposit schemes (10c refund for eligible drink containers). We help our scheme partners to recycle close to 10 million drink containers every day, diverting them from landfill into the circular economy.

Our technology and services enable the circular lifecycle of drink containers. We have a large in-house software engineering team using modern technology stacks to develop and support our products. As well as a suite of SaaS products, our range of business services includes accounting, payments, brand & marketing, materials trading, HR, customer service and support.

CES was formed in 2017 as a joint venture between Lion and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and has grown rapidly. While we are headquartered in North Sydney, Australia, we have a growing team in the Philippines that is an integral part of our business, helping shape solutions, deliver outcomes, and support our ongoing success. Our teams are passionate about our mission to ensure valuable materials are recycled and not wasted. We provide an inclusive culture, hybrid and flexible working and career development to bring the best out in our people.

Originally known as Container Exchange Services, we have rebranded to Circular Economy Systems to recognise our vision to be leaders in the transition to a circular economy.

About the role

We are seeking a Content Writer to join a strategic program of work focused on new product and platform development. This role will help build clear, practical self-service content that supports users as new digital products, features and ways of working are introduced.

You will turn complex system, process and subject matter expert inputs into accessible online help that enables users to understand what they are seeing, complete tasks confidently and resolve common questions with minimal reliance on direct training or contact centre support.

Working closely with subject matter experts, Product, Change, Business Analysis teams and the contact centre, you will create and maintain knowledge articles, FAQs, how-to guides, user guidance and other supporting learning content. You will also help establish the structure, taxonomy, templates and cross-linking needed for a scalable, sustainable knowledge base.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced writer who combines strong content craft with curiosity about systems, user journeys and knowledge management. You will be comfortable working from incomplete or complex inputs, using AI thoughtfully to accelerate drafting and consolidation, and taking ownership of content quality from discovery through review and publication.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, improve and maintain user-focused knowledge content for new products, platforms and digital capabilities.

• Develop knowledge articles, FAQs, how-to guides, online help, tooltips, user guides and related self-service content.

• Translate complex systems, processes and subject matter expert inputs into clear, practical guidance for different user audiences.

• Work with subject matter experts, Product, Change, Business Analysis teams and the contact centre to gather information, validate accuracy and secure approval before publication.

• Understand end-to-end user journeys so content appears at the right point, answers the right questions and connects users to relevant supporting information.

• Establish and apply a clear knowledge base structure, taxonomy, article templates, writing standards and governance approach.

• Organise and cross-link related articles so users can navigate topics and processes coherently rather than relying on disconnected documents.

• Use platforms such as Document360, and AI-enabled tools where appropriate, to consolidate source material, accelerate drafting and create effective content assets.

• Incorporate simple visuals, diagrams or guided content where these improve usability and understanding.

• Manage review cycles, version control and updates so published content remains accurate, consistent and fit for purpose as systems and processes evolve.

• Use stakeholder and support feedback to identify content gaps and improve self-service outcomes.

• Help define sustainable ownership and maintenance practices so the knowledge base can continue to scale beyond the initial build.

About you

• Demonstrated experience creating, improving or maintaining knowledge base content, help centre articles, online help or structured user guidance.

• Proven ability to translate complex system, process or subject matter expert inputs into clear, practical content for different audiences.

• Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to accuracy, structure, consistency and version control.

• Experience working directly with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders to gather, challenge and validate information.

• Ability to think from a user and usability perspective, identifying what information is needed, when it is needed and how related content should connect.

• Confidence working with complex products, processes or enterprise systems, without needing to be the technical expert.

• AI literacy and genuine interest in using AI responsibly to consolidate inputs, accelerate drafting and improve content creation.

• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in an evolving program environment.

• A proactive, improvement-focused approach, including the confidence to recommend better ways to structure and manage knowledge content.

Desirable

• Experience using Document360 or a comparable knowledge management or help centre platform.

• Experience with guided learning, knowledge capture or in-app guidance tools such as Scribe, WalkMe or Oracle Guided Learning.

• Exposure to ERP, finance systems or other enterprise systems documentation.

• A background in business analysis, change, instructional design or learning content focused on practical user enablement.

• Experience establishing or uplifting a knowledge base, including taxonomy, templates, governance and ongoing content ownership.
