Mechanical Design Engineer I
As a Mechanical Design Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will contribute to the design and development of innovative mechanical solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will apply your strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies to support product development and improvement initiatives.
You will report directly to our Mechanical Design Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on an hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will work on the supplier readiness team to ensure production timelines are met. You will also impact the creation and enhancement of mechanical systems and components that drive the success of Honeywell's aerospace products, ensuring performance and reliability in demanding environments.

- Design and develop mechanical components and systems in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical design specifications and ensure seamless integration with other disciplines.
- Perform mechanical analysis to validate design performance and reliability.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- 1 or more year of experience in mechanical design and development
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies
- Proficiency in CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks or CATIA, and experience with mechanical analysis and simulation tools to ensure design integrity and performance
- Experience with materials selection, manufacturing processes, and tolerance analysis
WE VALUE
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
- Experience working in aerospace or related high-reliability industries
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, and aerospace quality requirements
