Position Summary

The Senior Account Manager – Semiconductor (Electron Microscopy) is responsible for driving business growth and managing strategic customer relationships across leading semiconductor manufacturers within the assigned territory in Taiwan.

This role focuses on Electron Microscopy (EM) solutions, including Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), DualBeam FIB-SEM, and advanced analytical workflows supporting semiconductor manufacturing, failure analysis, process development, materials characterization, and advanced packaging applications.

Working closely with semiconductor customers, you will develop long-term strategic partnerships, identify new business opportunities, and position Thermo Fisher Scientific as the trusted technology partner for advanced semiconductor characterization and process solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own all sales and account management responsibilities for the Electron Microscopy portfolio within the assigned semiconductor territory.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve bookings, revenue, and market share objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive management, engineering, R&D, manufacturing, process integration, failure analysis, and procurement organizations.
  • Identify customer technology roadmaps and manufacturing expansion opportunities to develop long-term business growth strategies.
  • Drive commercial growth across strategic semiconductor accounts, including OSAT, Memory, Foundry, IDM, and Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturers.
  • Lead complex sales opportunities involving multiple business units, applications specialists, service teams, and product managers.
  • Deliver technical and commercial value through consultative solution selling and executive-level customer engagement.
  • Coordinate product evaluations, proof-of-concept projects, and customer demonstrations in collaboration with internal technical teams.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management, and account planning through Salesforce CRM.
  • Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at customer meetings, technical seminars, industry conferences, and strategic business reviews.
  • Continuously monitor semiconductor industry trends, customer technology roadmaps, and competitive activities to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction by working closely with service and support organizations throughout the customer lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of B2B sales, business development, or strategic account management experience within the semiconductor industry.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets through strategic account management.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
  • Experience managing complex capital equipment sales cycles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across matrix organizations and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50–75%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor metrology, analytical instrumentation, electron microscopy, failure analysis, or materials characterization.
  • Proven experience managing strategic semiconductor customers within OSAT, Memory, Foundry, or IDM segments.
  • Established business relationships with Micron and major OSAT customers are highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, advanced packaging, defect review, process control, failure analysis, and materials characterization workflows.
  • Demonstrated success selling Electron Microscopy systems or other high-value capital equipment.
  • Existing network within Taiwan's semiconductor industry with the ability to develop executive-level customer relationships.
  • Experience collaborating with regional and global account teams supporting multinational semiconductor customers.
