  • Life Cycle Solutions Engineer (m/f/d)

    What you will do:

      

    • responsible for the design of control & monitoring systems for diesel, gas, and dual fuel engines, as well as selected components like combustion chamber monitoring, knock detection or ignition pressure monitoring 
    • create requirement documents, technical specifications including test and validation plans 

    • develop solutions for electrical issues or customer requirements on field engines including cost, quality and process capabilities 

    • create technical descriptions specifications for PLC controls, followed by system testing and field trials for required or necessary system changes  

    • independent development of replacement solutions for systems and components that are no longer available 

    • responsible for constant product improvement 

    • responsible for product lifecycle management of core components 

    • support of the aftermarket business 

    • close collaboration in global teams 

     

     

    What you will have

     

    • graduated electrical engineer 

    • professional experience in the field of Control & Monitoring for medium-speed gas, dual-fuel, and diesel engines, including development and design of hardware and software solutions for the engine safety system 

    • good knowledge in the development and design of ECM engine control software, requirement specifications and software specifications, as well as the subsequent system test and validation 

    • knowledge of system integration in power management systems in ships, power plants, and oil & gas applications 

    • experience in product commissioning and customer service is necessary 

    • open and effective communication is required, collaboration with suppliers is necessary, as well as a solution-oriented working method 

    • ePLAN CAE tool basic knowledge 

    • good English and German skills, both spoken and written 

    • willingness to travel worldwide 

     

     

 

 

 

 

Base Minimum Pay:

€89,785.00

 

Please note that salary is only one component of the total compensation and benefit package available at Caterpillar.

 

 

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
