Job Description

Job Summary

The Business Analyst II supports the delivery of enhancements and defect resolutions for the Connect Close platform by documenting requirements, analyzing business processes, and assisting with solution validation. Working closely with Product Managers, Senior Business Analysts, Development, and QA teams, this role helps ensure business needs are accurately translated into actionable work items.
This role is ideal for individuals developing expertise in title, escrow, settlement, and closing workflows while building foundational business analysis skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in documenting business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Capture meeting notes, decisions, and action items from discovery sessions.

  • Maintain requirements documentation and supporting artifacts.

  • Update Jira work items with relevant business context.

  • Document current and future-state workflows.

  • Research existing system functionality and business processes.

  • Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities.

  • Support analysis of customer-reported issues and enhancement requests.

  • Participate in requirement reviews and sprint demonstrations.

  • Execute user acceptance testing scenarios.

  • Validate completed work against acceptance criteria.

  • Assist in defect triage and reproduction.

  • Assist with release notes and deployment readiness activities.

  • Support documentation updates and internal communications.

  • Help track enhancement requests and production issues.

  • Develop knowledge of title, settlement, escrow, and closing processes.

  • Learn state-specific business rules and regulatory requirements.

  •  Build expertise in Connect Close workflows and functionality.

  •  Receive business context and feature objectives.

  • Support backlog refinement activities.

  • Receive guidance on requirements development and solution analysis.

  • Assist with research and documentation activities

  • Clarify documented requirements.

  • Support testing efforts and defect validation.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred

  • Experience in title, mortgage, real estate, financial services, or SaaS environments

Experience

  • Typically requires 2+ years of business analysis, operations, customer support, or software implementation experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with Jira or Agile development methodologies.
