What you’ll do:
In our Transformation Assurance team, you will lead and manage project assurance and advisory engagements across a diverse number of transformation projects and programs. You will use your strong project management and risk expertise to deliver high-quality analysis of project and program risks in the form of written deliverables, including reports, memos, and executive board papers. This includes:
Reviewing and analysing critical project/program artefacts (including risk reports, business cases, business requirements documents, change management and comms plans, testing and data migration plans, or project plans).
Identifying key risks and root causes that may deter from the success of projects/programs.
Leading client meetings and engagements, including fieldwork interviews and final presentations of key findings to senior executives and board members.
Overseeing the delivery of formal reports, including detailed analysis and recommended solutions.
You will also form part of the Transformation Assurance leadership team, where you will support business development to win new work in the market as well as develop the skills and capabilities of more junior staff. This includes:
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor during transformation activities and ensuring that quality assurance advice aligns with their strategic objectives.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop proposals and find innovative solutions that bring different parts of the PwC firm together to solve important problems for our clients.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to deliver cutting-edge insights to our clients, and using these insights to inform business development products (articles, new services or offerings, best practice frameworks and other IP, etc)
Mentoring and coaching junior team members, including supporting professional development and growth aligned to their goals
Fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and fun, with a focus on strengthening project management capabilities.
What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, with a strong background in project or risk management looking to apply their skills in an assurance capacity. You will join our fast-growing team to lead engagements that guide clients through complex transformations initiatives across Australia. This role is pivotal to delivering high-quality assurance advice and recommendations that drive successful client change outcomes.
You’ll help solve complex problems by using your project/program/portfolio delivery and assurance skills/experience to:
Provide advice on complex transformation programs across sectors and industries.
Lead teams and overall management of client engagements, including engagement planning, testing, fieldwork, and reporting stages.
Solve problems with your excellent analytical and reasoning skills, with keen attention to detail.
Build relationships with your strong interpersonal and communication skills, leveraging your capability and experience with effectively engaging with clients and team members. You have experience working with senior stakeholders (e.g. Executives).
Work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Build and maintain relationships across the industry to support business development, with experience preparing proposals or responses to tenders from clients.
Apply your advanced understanding of project management methodologies, and are comfortable leading project, program and portfolio reviews.
Desirable skills
Specific experience in Financial Services/Banking, Consumer Industries, or major ERP (technology implementation) programs is desired but not required.
Consulting experience is desired but not required
Relevant project management certifications (e.g., Prince2, Agile, Prosci Change Management) are an advantage but not required.
