PhD Thesis on Quantum Navigation Systems

Your tasks and responsibilities

• You develop solutions to design and build resilient navigation systems that combine quantum technology with state-of-the art solutions

• You simulate and analyse navigation architectures that fuse classical and quantum sensor signals

• You are part of defining, integrating, and field-testing a flying hardware demonstrator 

• You present your research at leading international conferences and publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals

 Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) (master) in the area of physics, robotics, aerospace or electrical engineering, quantum technologies, or related technical fields

• Knowledge on classical navigation methods, sensor fusion and state estimation theory 

• Solid foundation in mathematics, experience with probabilistic models

• Basic knowledge of simulation modelling and good background in related software tools (Matlab/Python)

• First experiences in the field of quantum sensing is an asset

• Hands-on experience in the laboratory is a plus
