As a Foreperson, you'll play a key role leading and supporting crews delivering maintenance and renewal works across our network. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing daily activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

In this role, you will:

•    Lead and mentor crews while promoting a strong safety-first culture
•    Plan, coordinate and oversee daily maintenance and construction activities
•    Manage plant, materials and resources to maximise productivity and efficiency
•    Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
•    Monitor quality, progress and performance to ensure contract requirements are met

Nga Pūkenga Matu | Important Skills

We're looking for an experienced leader with a background in civil construction, surfacing, maintenance, or infrastructure projects. You'll be confident leading teams, making decisions in the field, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

You'll also bring:

•    Proven experience leading crews and coordinating day-to-day site operations
•    Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
•    Experience working with subcontractors, plant and resource allocation
•    A commitment to health, safety, quality and environmental best practice
•    Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
•    Class 2 Licence and WTR endorsement preferred (Class 4 highly regarded)
•    Asphalt, surfacing, road maintenance or civil construction experience advantageous
