Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Food Services Supervisor (Retail), you will be a vital leader, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient food services.Every day, you'll oversee daily food preparation, service, and sanitation, adhering to regulations. You'll manage staff, provide training, maintain inventory, and ensure customer satisfaction within budget, contributing to a positive dining experience.To be successful, you'll combine strong organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail, food service expertise, and the ability to motivate your team, directly impacting satisfaction and well-being.
- Directs storeroom clerk, cooks & other Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) team members, and provides for the operational needs of these positions. Supervisor will collaborate in implementing and sustaining infection control practices with the clerk to create a safe, sanitary, and orderly storage facility
- Maintains communication with patients, staff, and customers regarding the level of services they receive from FNS staff. This data is relayed to the management team and/or staff whenever necessary
- Maintains adequate staffing for daily needs reflecting cost efficiency. Assists with recruiting, hiring and managing the performance of staff. Assigns staff and workload, respecting changing priorities in daily operations
- Supervisor will actively collaborate in the process of menu development for patient, cafeteria, and catering services
- Actively working as a Supervisor within the food service
Job Requirements
Required
- Associates Degree or Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two (2) years of experience in foodservice or One (1) year of hospital nutrition experience
- Registered Dietician (RD) within 24 months or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) within 24 months
- SERVSAFE MANAGER (SERVSAFMGR)
- Servsafe General Certification (SERVSAFE GEN) within 60 days
- Arizona Food Handler Permit or Servsafe Certification within 30 days
Preferred
- Associates Other or Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic computer skills and leadership experience
