Work with engineers, program managers and partner teams to deliver a set of features with the right overall design and architecture. Write clean well-thought-out code with an emphasis on quality, performance, simplicity, durability, scalability, and maintainability. Own certain components from design, engaging with other teams to manage dependencies, implementation, to monitoring of the deployed service. Deploy/patch/feature rollouts with health signal controlled safe deployments. Work on Linux, Windows and Azure tools. Exhibit thought leadership in helping take the service forward with new capabilities, innovations and improving the experience on existing capabilities. Effectively create clarity of status, progress and blockers affecting large projects. Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiates actions to restore system/product/service for simple and complex problems when appropriate. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python 10+ years of experience in commercial software development. 3+ years of software development experience on Linux platforms including hands-on experience in Linux OS/patching/feature rollout automation with safe health signals in large scale distributed environments 3+ years hands-on experience with Linux containers, docker, puppet, ansible Demonstrated problem solving and debugging skills.
