Level M7/M8 Department Credit Risk / ERM / ALM Location Mumbai Function Risk Management Department is responsible for the development and maintenance of risk management and control frameworks. It provides independent review and challenge to business to ensure that appropriate balance is considered in risk/return decisions. In addition, Risk Management Department is responsible for the monitoring and reporting on risk issues of the Bank.  Responsibilities
  • Leading and Implement ingCorporate Credit RWA, understand the key drivers of corporate credit RWA and optimise RWA through targeted efficiencies
  • Develop and implement the Group ICAAP framework 
  • Development and implement Risk Appetite and track performance
  • Develop and implement Stress Testing framework 
  • Implement Basel II advanced approaches for wholesale credit portfolio
  • Develop and implement pan-bank Expected Credit Loss framework including methodologies for risk estimation
  • Ownership of internal credit rating model and ensure that all accounts eligible for internal ratings as per policy are rated in the internal rating model.
  • Periodic Credit Portfolio analysis covering
  • Identification of ALM risk factors and its assessment on timely basis.
  • Provide relevant insights on ALM profile and implementation of ALCO directives
  • Undertake ALM modeling and historical analysis, develop supporting assumptions and run the ALM modeling in accordance with Policy.
  • Prepare reports and analysis specified by ALM (funding concentration, NII simulation, Liability profile analysis, EVE and EaR simulations, basis risk and optionality).
  • Monitor interest rate & liquidity risk at standalone legal entity level and consolidated group level.
  • Play an integral hands-on role in the configuration, testing, and ongoing maintenance of an Asset Liability Management risk platform. 
  • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities or as assigned by supervisor. 
  • Promote teamwork within the department to ensure that knowledge and experience is shared among team members.
  • Develop and motivate team members, identify development needs and provide training opportunities

Competencies

 

  • Understanding and experience in the area of Credit, Enterprise and ALM Risk
  • Organisation, respect of deadlines, ability to work with different departments (Treasury, Regulatory compliance, Risk, Finance).
  • Strong inter-personal, communication, presentation, analytical and problem solving skills.  
  • Team spirit and collaboration,
  • System knowledge: Python, SQL, Excel, word, power point.
Education & Experience
  • CA, MBA finance or any other related quantitative discipline with about 15 years’ relevant post qualification experience, with minimum 5 years’ experience in ALM and Credit Risk areas
  • Knowledge of the finance and lending industry, including, but not limited to: financial and risk modeling practices and concepts, financial instruments, and financial markets will be an advantage.
