As a Patient Support Specialist within the Retail Resource Center (RRC), you will serve as a key point of contact for patients seeking support with MinuteClinic and Virtual Care services. In this role, you will respond to inbound calls related to appointments, visits, treatments, services, insurance coverage, billing inquiries, and other patient support needs across both in-person and virtual care experiences.
You will be responsible for providing patient information in accordance with HIPAA and privacy compliance requirements when handling Protected Health Information (PHI). You will assist patients with questions regarding billing statements, claims, reimbursement inquiries, and account-related concerns while ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.
Working collaboratively with cross-functional partners across MinuteClinic, Virtual Care, and other CVS Health teams, you will gather and communicate the information needed to resolve patient concerns effectively and efficiently. Success in this role requires a strong commitment to customer service, problem-solving, and patient advocacy while delivering support aligned with CVS Health's purpose, values, and commitment to helping people on their path to better health.
Through every interaction, you will strive to provide compassionate, accurate, and timely support, ensuring patients receive the assistance they need for both their retail health and virtual care journeys.
Required Qualifications
1 or more years of customer service experience, High-volume call center experience highly preferred,
1 or more years of experience using Excel, Word, and/or Outlook in a professional or academic setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with an Electronic Medical Records system, Epic experience highly preferred.
Medical insurance verification and experience explaining coverage to patients.
Healthcare billing experience.
Education
Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$17.00 - $34.15This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
