Salesforce Service Team
Job Summary :
The Salesforce Senior Developer will serve as a key technical contributor on the Salesforce Service Team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Salesforce solutions that support Cencora's service operations. This role requires deep expertise in the Salesforce platform and a strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders, architects, and other technical teams to deliver high-quality CRM solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, enterprise environment and is passionate about leveraging Salesforce technology to drive business value.
What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy robust Salesforce solutions including custom Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce pages
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs
- Lead and contribute to end-to-end implementation of Salesforce Service Cloud features, including Case Management, Omni-Channel, Knowledge Base, and CTI integrations
- Develop and maintain REST/SOAP API integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices, coding standards, and governance limits
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve production defects and technical issues in a timely manner
- Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on Salesforce development best practices
- Support data migration activities using tools such as Data Loader, Workbench, or MuleSoft
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including design specifications, solution architecture, and test plans
- Stay current with Salesforce platform releases, new features, and emerging technologies to recommend improvements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
- Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and Visualforce
- Strong experience with Salesforce Service Cloud configuration and development
- Experience with Salesforce declarative tools including Flow Builder, Process Builder, and Validation Rules
- Proficiency in web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with REST and SOAP API integrations
- Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and governor limits
- Experience with source control tools such as Git and deployment tools such as Salesforce DX (SFDX) or Copado
- Active Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
- Experience with MuleSoft or other integration middleware platforms
- Familiarity with Salesforce Einstein features including AI-powered case classification or chatbots
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation within Salesforce environments
- Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry
- Familiarity with Salesforce Shield, Field Audit Trail, or Platform Encryption
- Experience working in large enterprise Salesforce orgs with complex multi-cloud implementations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience required. 4+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, application development, platform engineering, or a related field required. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02), AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals, RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) certification, or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of software and systems engineering principles, development lifecycle practices, testing strategies, and production support models. Knowledge of system architecture, application design, integration patterns, debugging techniques, version control, and deployment approaches. Knowledge of performance engineering, reliability, scalability, secure design, and operational resilience concepts. Skill in coding, configuration, technical design, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving. Skill in using development frameworks, testing tools, source control platforms, CI/CD pipelines, collaboration tools, and work management systems. Ability to lead moderately complex to complex engineering work independently while applying sound judgment, quality standards, and risk awareness. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicate solution options, dependencies, risks, and progress clearly. Knowledge of advanced software and systems engineering principles, development lifecycle practices, testing strategies, and production support models. Knowledge of application architecture, system design, integration patterns, cloud and infrastructure components, and secure engineering practices. Knowledge of performance engineering, scalability, reliability, resilience, observability, and operational support frameworks. Skill in technical design, coding or configuration, debugging, root cause analysis, performance tuning, and structured problem solving. Skill in using development frameworks, testing tools, source control platforms, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, collaboration platforms, and work management systems. Ability to lead complex engineering work independently while applying strong technical judgment, quality standards, and risk awareness. Ability to influence technical direction, guide design decisions, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
