Software Development Engineer - Amazon OpenSearch, OpenSearch Core and Serverless

Role responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software for Apache Lucene and OpenSearch by collaborating with the open-source community and internal AWS stakeholders. Produce robust, efficient code and advocate for open-source standards while mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

Requires 5+ years of professional software development experience with expertise in Lucene or similar inverted index libraries and distributed systems. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, with a preference for those who are Lucene committers.
