This role focuses on investigating and validating cyber threats using advanced data analysis across security tools and platforms. The successful candidate will act as an escalation point for complex incidents, collaborate with global cyber security teams, and contribute to strengthening Vodafone’s overall cyber defence posture. ## What you’ll do -Manage and resolve escalated and complex security incidents, including advanced malware and intrusion scenarios -Conduct detailed threat analysis using telemetry, log files, and firewall data to identify risks -Lead and contribute to root cause analysis and security event investigations -Act as a technical subject matter expert for security alert investigations -Collaborate with internal and global cyber defence teams, including incident response and CERT teams -Develop and deliver security reports and advisories for key stakeholders -Improve security operations through proactive identification of gaps and optimisation opportunities -Tune SIEM tools to reduce false positives and enhance threat detection accuracy -Enhance and refine SOAR playbooks to automate response processes -Monitor and assess unusual network activity and respond to potential threats proactively -Mentor colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing, playbooks, and process improvements -Participate in on-call rotations and incident response coordination ## Who you are -Experienced SOC analyst (Level 2 or above) with strong incident response expertise -Skilled in analysing security events and investigating enterprise-level network intrusions -Knowledgeable in networking protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security architectures -Familiar with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and cloud security platforms -Proficient in identifying modern threat techniques and interpreting attack patterns -Comfortable working with large datasets and performing correlation analysis -Knowledge of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and cyber kill chain methodologies -Effective communicator, able to present technical concepts to varied audiences -Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving and analytical skills -Holds a degree in Cyber Security, IT, or a related field -Working towards or holding certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, CEH, or similar ## Not a perfect fit?
