Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking a strategic commercially focused senior marketing leader to oversee all aspects of marketing supporting Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking; Treasury & Payment Solutions; and Investment Services. This individual will lead integrated marketing efforts designed to drive client acquisition, deepen existing relationships, onboard clients, support revenue growth, and strengthen market position across targeted client segments.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in financial services marketing, a strong understanding of complex B2B sales environments, and a proven ability to align marketing strategies with product, sales, and relationship management objectives. This role requires a balance of strategic leadership, executional excellence, analytical rigor, and cross-functional partnership.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic leadership
Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies aligned to business objectives across payments, investment services, corporate, commercial, and institutional banking segments.
Serve as the senior marketing advisor to executive business leaders, product executives, sales leadership, and segment heads.
Lead positioning and go-to-market efforts
Identify growth opportunities across target industries, client segments, and geographies.
Client Acquisition & Revenue Growth
Design and oversee acquisition campaigns that generate qualified opportunities for relationship managers and sales teams.
Develop segment-specific marketing programs to increase penetration within middle market, large corporate, institutional, and sponsor-backed client segments.
Partner closely with sales leadership to improve pipeline generation, conversion rates, and client engagement outcomes.
Support cross-sell and wallet-share expansion initiatives across treasury management, payments, capital markets, and investment services.
Relationship Deepening & Client Engagement
Lead client lifecycle and relationship marketing initiatives focused on retention, engagement, and expansion.
Develop thought leadership, content marketing, events, and executive engagement strategies that reinforce trusted advisor positioning.
Create programs that improve client experience, strengthen loyalty, and deepen strategic relationships with key clients and centers of influence.
Partner with sales and product teams to tailor communications and value propositions to specific industries and client needs.
Marketing Operations & Analytics
Establish data-driven marketing frameworks and KPIs tied to acquisition, engagement, cross-sell, and revenue outcomes.
Utilize CRM, digital analytics, client insights, and marketing automation tools to optimize campaign effectiveness and segmentation.
Manage budgets, agency relationships, and marketing resource allocation to maximize ROI.
Ensure all marketing activities comply with regulatory, legal, brand, and risk management standards.
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and develop a high-performing team across segment marketing, product marketing, digital marketing, events, and sales enablement.
Foster strong partnerships with sales, product, strategy, and compliance teams.
Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Demonstrated success supporting complex B2B sales organizations and revenue growth initiatives.
Strong understanding of corporate and commercial client buying behaviors and relationship-based selling models.
Experience leading integrated marketing programs across digital, content, events, brand, and demand generation channels.
Deep knowledge of payments, treasury services, lending, institutional products, and/or investment solutions preferred.
Proven ability to influence senior executives and lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization.
Experience managing large-scale budgets, agencies, and marketing technology platforms.
Strategic, curious, action-oriented leader who can balance moving quickly with an eye on long-term objectives
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Proven ability to integrate AI and automation into end-to-end marketing ecosystems to drive efficiency, scalability, and measurable revenue impact.
Working knowledge of AI use cases across the customer lifecycle, including predictive targeting, lead scoring, next-best-action, and dynamic personalization.
Experience partnering with data science, digital, and MarTech teams to operationalize AI into production marketing workflows.
Experience designing and implementing end-to-end measurement frameworks across the customer journey, linking marketing activity to pipeline generation, client acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue outcomes.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $214,795.00 - $252,700.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
