Position Overview:
Freddie Mac’s Finance Division is seeking a Financial Forecasting Modeling Professional to join the Investments and Capital Markets CFO team. This role supports financial forecasting, analysis, reporting, and process improvement activities for Freddie Mac’s Capital Markets segment.

The Investments and Capital Markets CFO department supports financial accounting and reporting, portfolio risk and profitability analysis, pricing and valuation activities, and financial planning and analysis for Freddie Mac’s Capital Markets segment. The team delivers financial forecasts, stress testing support, executive reporting, and business performance analysis for senior finance and business leaders.

The successful candidate will contribute to forecast execution, business analysis, management reporting, and process improvement while developing financial, analytical, and technical expertise across Capital Markets FP&A.
Financial Forecasting, Analysis, and Business Insight
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts, including Freddie Mac’s annual DFAST stress testing and related Capital Markets planning deliverables.
Develop financial analyses and calculations to support forecast execution, scenario modeling, variance analysis, and business performance reporting.
Analyze segment results and forecast changes, including amortization, fair value changes, net interest income, market conditions, and Capital Markets activity.
Partner with finance and business teams to understand assumptions, validate inputs, improve forecast accuracy, and strengthen business explanations.
Identify opportunities to improve forecasting, analysis, and reporting processes.
Prepare recurring business analysis for Investments and Capital Markets Finance, including metrics, trends, risks, and opportunities.
Support requirements, testing, and enhancements for forecasting applications, reporting tools, and finance processes.
Management and Board Reporting and AI-Enabled Process Improvement
Prepare management and Board reporting on financial results, forecast changes, business performance, risks, and opportunities.
Support presentations and executive materials for senior management, business partners, and governance forums.
Communicate analytical results and conclusions to finance leadership, business segments, and cross-functional partners.
Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical views that improve business monitoring and reduce manual reporting.
Automate and scale recurring reporting, forecast support, business metrics, and data preparation processes.
Use AI-enabled tools responsibly to support forecast narratives, variance explanations, documentation, data quality reviews, and workflow efficiency.
Support special projects and ad hoc analyses as business priorities, products, risks, and reporting needs evolve.
Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in Financial Forecasting, FP&A, Financial Reporting and Analytics, Corporate Finance, or related finance functions.
Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge of GAAP financial accounting and reporting concepts.
Strong financial acumen, analytical capability, and attention to detail.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with data visualization, BI, or dashboarding tools preferred.
Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into accurate, traceable analysis.
Interest in automation, AI-assisted workflows, or analytics tools that improve finance and reporting processes.
Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Python, SQL, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar tools is a plus.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $86,000 - $128,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
