Lead Control Process Operator - Weekend Shift
Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa Subsidiary is hiring for a Lead Control Process Operator for our plant located in Steele, AL on our Weekend Shift. The Lead supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in fabrication and assembly of structural sheet metal products. The Lead sets up and operates machines, makes adjustments for materials used, verify dimensional requirements and may use blueprints. Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours.

Schedule - Must be able to work Fri- Sun 6:00 am - 6:00 pm.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and support a team of Operators
- Set up and operate CNC machinery (cutting, forming, drilling, milling, etc.)
- Monitor production quality and verify dimensional requirements using blueprints
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic machine adjustments
- Make decisions related to tolerances, quality, and workflow sequencing
- Ensure adherence to all safety rules and procedures
- Participate in or support safety initiatives and committees
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What you’ll need:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Proven ability to lead and develop a small team
- Strong blueprint reading and measurement verification skills
- Experience operating CNC/PLC equipment, including:
- Whitney plasma/punch
- Kinetic
- Oxy-fuel and plasma cutting
- CNC machining centers (drills, presses, mills)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- High dependability
- Strong leadership presence on the floor
