What We’re Looking For:

The Licensing Specialist is a member of a small team of licensing professionals which serve as the point of contact for all Mortgage Loan Originator licensing-related matters. The primary area of responsible for ensuring mortgage loan originators (MLOs) maintain current and accurate records in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end licensing process for all Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) within the NMLS.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all NMLS filings related to MLO licensing, including new applications, renewals, and amendments.
  • Monitor and track MLO pre-licensing education, testing requirements, and background checks to ensure compliance.
  • Manage the MLO license renewal process, ensuring all requirements are met before deadlines to avoid lapses.
  • Track and ensure MLO compliance with continuing education requirements in all applicable states.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for MLOs regarding their licensing inquiries and provide clear and timely communication.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any licensing issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all MLO licenses, sponsorships and related documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, based on competencies and experience.

What You’ll Need:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Knowledge of mortgage licensing, renewal, and CE requirements is a plus
  • High-speed internet required for remote work, Cable or Fiber ONLY with the ability to connect via Ethernet. Minimum speeds: 70/30 Mbps (basic), 200-300/35-70 Mbps (shared), 500-1,000/100+ Mbps (heavy use).

Compensation:

The compensation for this position generally ranges from between $28 - $36 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
