Job Summary
The Senior Buyer will be responsible for coordinating with a team of buyers and coordinators who are responsible for set up of Service Providers, updating information, managing the Vendor Matrix data, JDE, etc. This position will report to the Senior Director, Procurement and will work in collaboration with Account Managers and Operations as part of project management teams. Other responsibilities include ensuring the team is following process and meeting the expectations of our customers
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, follow up and communication for onboarding initiatives. Delegate tasks to buyers and/or coordinators and follows up to ensure deadlines are met
- Manage contracts, provide reporting and support the initiatives of the team. Work with the Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop a network of preferred service providers
- Manage, execute and communicate standardized processes and procedures to the team and the company. Work with the Senior Director, Procurement to identify and implement process efficiencies
- Assist in employee development focusing on both training for their current job and developing skills for future roles and responsibilities
- Participate in sourcing activities when required to ensure deadlines and goals are achieved
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of Facility Management experience preferred
- Detail Oriented
- Flexibility and Adaptability
- Time Management
- Strong Communication skills
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Physical Demands
- General office. Must be able to operate a computer and telephone and other office productivity machinery (i.e., a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer). Mostly sedentary position
Work Environment
- 4 days a week in office if in Cincinnati, OH/Tempe, AZ/Norristown, PA. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., copy machine, and computer printer). Travel less than 10% of time
