Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor.
What you’ll do:
Authority Authorized to lead and direct maintenance personnel, prioritize and execute maintenance activities, and stop equipment operation when safety, quality, or equipment reliability is at risk. Responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime, regulatory compliance, and effective utilization of maintenance resources.
Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment. This role oversees a team of maintenance technicians and drives the execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for the plant equipment.
Job Responsibilities A. Lead, coach, and guide skilled trades within the maintenance department. B. Ensure effective maintenance and optimized uptime of all production and facility equipment. C. Coordinate support involvement, if required, on projects or problems within the facility. (ie; Engineering, Quality, etc.) D. Issue daily work orders and maintain work and equipment records. E. Responsible for the development and implementation of an effective PM system. Oversee and balance PM schedules. F. Work in conjunction with manufacturing and product engineers, providing project and daily support. G. Effectively manage scheduled and unscheduled resource demands to maximize plant/equipment uptime. H. Ensure environmental requeriments acording with each tecnician I. Lead full implementation of TPM thru the organization and facilitate training and resources for the implementation J. Ensure the maintenance effectiveness through the MTTR (Main Time to Repair) and MTBF (Main Time between Failures) indicators. K. Ensure expenses are below the forecast. L. Participate in safety coaching. Provide EHS training (100% completion). Complete assigned EHS inspections. Respond to department EHS concerns. Enforce the rules. Include Safety topics in department meetings. M. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area. N. Promotes the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies. O. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
Qualifications:
Education level required Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
Years and area of experience required 3-5 Years experience in Maintenance activities. #LI-MB2
Technical knowledge Strong technical expertise in industrial maintenance within high-volume manufacturing environments, including hydraulic and pneumatic presses, CNC machines, stamping equipment, and manual/semi-automated assembly lines. Solid knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment failures. Proficient in PLC-based control systems, preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, and reliability improvement methodologies. Experienced in interpreting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, while ensuring compliance with safety standards, machine guarding requirements, and LOTO. Familiarity with CMMS platforms, maintenance KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, OEE), and Lean Manufacturing/TPM principles.
