Join us to architect the future of secure enterprise connectivity and protect our customers' most critical assets. **Your Impact** As a "Security Software Engineer Technical Leader", you will architect and develop software that places network security and user experience at its core, consistent with Cisco’s Design Thinking Principles. You will lead the technical design of complex, secure network access features for ISE, utilizing your deep expertise in systems programming (C, C++, or Java) to build resilient codebases. Your work will directly fortify our network defenses through rigorous threat modeling, secure coding practices, and the implementation of advanced cryptography, including TLS internals and Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC). By championing agile engineering, leveraging AI coding tools, and mentoring your peers, you will drive continuous innovation in how we secure enterprise networks globally **Minimum qualifications:** + BA in Computer Science or related field + 8+ years software engineering experience in systems programming (C, C++ or Java) with complex codebases + 3+ years of technical leadership + Deep understanding of network security, certificate validation and threat modelling + Hands-on experience with cryptography, TLS internals, or Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) **Preferred Qualifications** + Hands on experience with AI coding + Understanding of modern attack methods. + Hands-on experience with security testing tools + Hands on experience in cloud development - advantage + Prior experience collaborating with corporate security groups or acting as a security ambassador + Proficiency in Go, Rust, Python or JavaScript (in addition to C/C++/Java) **Why Cisco?** At Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era – and beyond.
